Stress and hormones


In the current scenario each and every person is undergoing a great deal of stress to compete well. Stress can sometimes motivate people to do some work effectively. But it can also have a significant effect on the person’s health and can even result in infertility. Tension can also increase the heartbeat of a person. This can result in high blood pressure. There is no specific connection between strain and the inability to conceive. Medical experts around the globe are trying to find out the relationship between these two. Psychogenic inability to conceive which is triggered due psychological problems is observed by a couple is among the major aspects of inability to conceive. This caused due to different emotional aspects. It can include tension of carrying out intercourse and disinclination to accept motherhood. The other reasons could be oedipal situations or misunderstandings regarding sex identity.
The hypothalamus is responsible for the regulation of sex hormones and controlling the response to strain. Too much stress can lead to periodic trouble in females and is generally observed among female athletes. This condition is known as runner’s amenorrhea. 

This disorder can cause irregular monthly periods. This increases discomfort and the amount of depression increases further. The reproductive organ of females consists of catecholamine receptors. These receptors produce catecholamine under stress and the person is unable to conceive. When the person is under anxiety, several neurochemical changes are observed. The reproductive organ and the brain are linked as several nerves connect the brain with the Fallopian tubes and the uterus. The central nervous system of the body can affect the ability of the ovary to create ovum and hormones.

A person suffering from hormonal depressions shows the following symptoms.
1.       The mood of the person is swinged frequently.
2.       The person may lose appetite. An increase in hunger is also observed in many cases.
3.       The person may cry without a valid reason.
4.       The sleeping pattern of the person may be changed. The individual might sleep more or less than usual.
5.       Suicidal thoughts might increase and the interest of the living gets diminished.
6.       The person may lack interest in doing any work. She might even stop doing those activities which she once loved to do.
7.       The person always has a feeling of loneliness.
Factors that are responsible for causing depression can be classified as biological and environmental factors. The environmental causes that are responsible for causing depression are relationship issues, low self esteem, stress due to excessive work and family issues. A woman can suffer from depression due to hypothyroidism and seasonal affective disorder. When depression is caused due to hormonal changes or imbalance, it is known as biological factors. During the above mentioned phases there is a rapid fluctuation in the hormone levels resulting in depression in women.
Whenever you experience any of the symptoms related to depression, you should immediately consult a doctor. He is the best person to figure out whether the depression is caused due to hormonal imbalance or not. He carries out various tests to trace out the actual cause. He might prescribe antidepressants to normalize the depression. Yoga can be also very effective in the treatment.
